  1. It’s not only the negative thought that seems to be the problem it’s the emotions that accompany the thought. It takes a ton of self awareness for me to catch myself before getting swept up in the emotional whirlwind that negative thinking engenders.

    1. Yes, you are absolutely correct! Ariel and I have brought this, too, in our work. It requires a lot of insight and self-discipline to override these negative emotions and transform them. Most people just go with them and let them run their lives, without using any self-reflection because it takes a lot of bravery to confront one’s shadow side/dark side, although we all have it. But it seems like you’re working on this, and that is both awesome and brave!
