August 17 Update on my Novel, with the Final Name, “The Sky-Born and the Minstrel.”

By Wes Penre, August 17, 2025

As mentioned earlier on my Substack page (please subscribe), this is the first volume in a series. I am more than halfway through the editing now, so within a few weeks, it’ll be on Amazon, and it will be illustrated. Each chapter will have one or more illustrations, depicting what is happening in the respective chapter. I’m very thrilled about that and hope the reader will enjoy it, too.

This series is different from my previous trilogy, “Ismaril’s Journey,” which I very much enjoyed writing, as well. This new book is still within the same category but more “complex” in worldbuilding and character development. Some of it is even based on Swedish mythology, such as that of the Sky-born. Still, the story is heavily layered, so the reader can build their own conclusions of what it is about (those who have followed my nonfiction work may get a hint that our human history, among other things, is buried in the narrative, as it was in “Ismaril’s Journey”).

I am working ferociously to get this book published, so I’ve been a little absent lately. If you enjoy fantasy and appreciate deeper-layered messages, this book might be for you.

Love,
Wes

  1. On page 215 of your book, ( The Nature of the Multiverse), you state that the only place we can heal our timelines is here on this prison planet. If that is true, then whatever state of beingness we have achieved at the point of body death would be what we are stuck with. Are you claiming that we can’t progress intellectually and spiritually in our original state of beingness?
That would not seem logical because to change one’s mind is simply a choice. To repent is to acknowledge that one has done things that are unethical and that we have chosen to discontinue doing so. If one’s intentions are to be perfectly ethical and we renew this intention in new units of time, then it stands to reason that we would achieve the goal of perfect ethics. Please respond.

      1. Of course, I would be OK with your choice to respond to my question in the next Q&A. I always appreciate your kindness when you take your own time to answer our questions. As always, thanks for all that you’ve done for us and the continued information flow from your books. I have 5 of them now. I see why you were chosen to help us. It may sound like flattery, however you are obviously operating at a higher level of spiritual advancement them the rest of us. At the age of 74, I oftentimes think of leaving this prison planet early. There is so much that is working against us. The thought of losing my self identity by being absorbed by Garademas doesn’t scare me. To me, life is not worth living unless I can reach a state of ethical perfection.

  2. On page 385 of your book, ( The Nature of the Multiverse ), it says, Taking your own life greatly lowers the quality of your personal traits and your version of the highest aspect of yourself outside this Construct.
    1. Is there any evidence to support this statement?
    2. If we are not this meat body, then how does our type of death have any affect upon our spirit.
    3. To choose to end ones life is from my perspective, simply a decision that involves a recognition that one is ready to leave this construct.
    4. I would think that we could make much faster progress being free from the limitations of our worthless homo sapiens body when we are reunited with the natural abilities of our spiritual beingness.
    5. I am not trying to convince anyone to take their own life. That is a personal choice. However, I think that to do so,would be, actually advantageous.
    6. If suicide has bad affects on our spiritual beingness, than I would think that if we are murdered, that type of end would also have bad affects on us.
    7. If death of the body is necessary for us to leave this construct, then, the type of death would seem to me to be irrelevant.

    1. Wow, now I surely have questions for my Q&A LOL. I will add them, although I need to break them up into different Q&A in the near future, so keep an eye open. Thank you, my friend.
